Over a third of UK roofing contractors surveyed by the NFRC said pay retentions threatened to have a moderate impact on their businesses. It’s clearly a feature in their outlook on the future.
A further 1 in 5 contractors said retentions are having a significant impact on their future successes.
Remembering other challenges faced, such as rising material costs and higher employment overheads, it is clear that the holding up of cash flow makes a tight situation even worse in the roofing sector.
